Cricket Corner Farm herbal soaps are produced in small, hand stirred batches in our farmhouse kitchen. We make our soaps the old fashioned, cold processed 'kettle' method with saponified oils of olive, rice bran, palm & palm kernal and many additional skin loving vegetable oils that allows the natural glycerine to remain in the soap. It's the glycerine that is so wonderful for your skin.....natural, gentle & emollient.
All of our soaps contain heat expressed herbal infusions, cocoa butter, shea butter, jojoba, Vit E., rosemary oil extract, pure essential oils and nature identical oils, chosen for their aromas & skin care properties. Colors and textures are derived from botanical and mineral sources & in some, organic goats milk, and herbal honey.
Next, the soaps are handcut into loaves and individual bars....and set to age & cure for six weeks. This process is lengthy and we feel we get to know each bar personally. Bars harden with age..... and like all of us, shrink slightly and take on a character of their own. Bars are hand wrapped in an attractive soft-toned wrappers, and some are boxed allowing their wonderful texture, color & fragrance to enchant your senses.
